Yankee Brass Band 36th Season Concert Series
I am very excited and honored to be participating as director of the Yankee Brass Band’s 36th season concert tour. During the week of July 17, 2023, the band will be traveling to Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The band will represent the history of 19th-century American brass bands with a workshop and concert at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Summer Conference in Harrisburg, PA. Additional concerts will be held at the Dorflinger Wildflower Concert Series in Honesdale, as well as concerts in the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall, East Stroudsburg University, a concert in Palmerton sponsored by the Palmerton Historical Society, and a concluding concert at Garrett D. Wall Park in Belvidere, NJ.
The musicians, traveling from across the United States, will once again perform music from the archives of 19th-century American brass bands. Audiences will enjoy the band’s performances of music from Pennsylvania history, Classical transcriptions for brass band, and music from the War Between the States. As always, these historically accurate performances are also very entertaining.
We look forward to renewing our friendships in historic Pennsylvania.
